August 31st orchestra study will focus on Edgardo Donato!! This class is designed to study. The rhythmic quality as it applies to the rhythmic melody. We will study how to identify the difference between the rhythmic base and the rhythmic melody, and how to dance the rhythmic melody in various repertoire. As with all the orchestra studies, there will be some historical context of the Orchestra, individual musicality work, as well as some social sequences introduced to study quality of movement and give you practical tools to use in the Milonga.
*Please note that there will be three class and practica dates in August as we are canceling our first Monday of the month in September (9/7) due to labor day. We resume with the third Monday in September (9/21) with a Calo orchestra study.

Attire is casual- please wear something comfortable to move in. Dance shoes, suede soles or socks are required on the dance floor.
